About

Judith Brownsberger is a Senior Staff Engineer for the Department of Space Operations in the Solar System Science and Exploration Division and has been a member of the Boulder office since 2025. She has held substantial roles on numerous NASA missions including Shuttle Special Payloads, XRS, FUSE, Hubble Space Telescope WFC3, CALYPSO, Deep Impact, ISS RAD, CYGNSS, Roman Space Telescope, and NOAA GeoXO.  Judith is currently the lead mechanical engineer for Joint EUV coronal Diagnostic Investigator (JEDI).  Ms. Brownsberger has spent her career supporting projects in Mechanical Engineering design and analysis of spaceflight hardware with notable specialties in mechanical design, structural design, optics mounting, mechanism design, and structural dynamics analysis. Judith has numerous NASA Individual and Group Achievement Awards. Judith has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic and State University, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
