Julie is part of the lab team working on the Chemistry and Organics Dating Experiment (CODEX) subsystem of the DIMPLE project. She focuses on instrument development and data collection using laser ablation mass spectrometry and resonance ionization mass spectrometry. Her CODEX work is also part of the Center for Lunar Origin & Evolution (CLOE). She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2025 for work on presolar grain extraction and isotope analysis using a variety of analytical techniques (RIMS, SEM-EDS, Raman, NanoSIMS), as well as efforts in cleanroom sample preparation of Genesis sapphire. She is a member of the Meteoritical Society.
