Kinfe Teweldebirhan is a solar physicist in the Solar and Heliospheric Physics group, where he studies the dynamics of rotating stellar convection, magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), and solar dynamo processes. His research focuses on how turbulent convection, rotation, and magnetic fields interact to shape large-scale flows and magnetic activity in solar and stellar dynamos, with particular emphasis on differential rotation, thermal wind balance, and the transition between rotation- and buoyancy-dominated regimes. He employs high-resolution global simulations and advanced high-performance computing frameworks to investigate these processes. Teweldebirhan holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Haramaya University and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Addis Ababa University.
