Marcus Hughes is a Senior Computer Scientist in the Department of Space Operations at Southwest Research Institute’s Division 19. He serves as the science operations center lead for the Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere (PUNCH) and CubeSat Imaging X-Ray Solar Spectrometer (CubIXSS) missions, and the ground processing algorithm lead for the Space Weather Solar Coronagraph (SwSCOR). Through these roles, he’s developed an expertise in image processing and scientific data calibration pipelines. He received a bachelor’s with Honors in Computer Science and Astronomy from Williams College in 2018.
